Instructions:

1. Bake the cakes.
2. Put cakes on top of card boards. ( 6 in cake on 6 ” card board. 10 in cake on 12″ card board.
3. Separate in a bowl some icing to cover the cakes and add a little bit of ivory color to the icing with a toothpick and mix, it have to be a light ivory color.
4. Get a big bag and put tip 789 inside the bag, cut the bag a little to let the tip show out of the bag.
5. Fill the bag, half way, with the ivory color icing.
6. Get the bag already fill with icing and using the flat part of the tip to toward the cake, start icing the top of the cakes on  in a circular motion; start icing the cake all around and smooth with the spatula.
7. The small cake will be on top of the big cake, parallel with the big one,(no on the center of the big one) ,so be careful and put the cake lightly on top to mark a circle where that cake will be on top of the big one, Take the cake out, don’t let the cake rest on the big one yet.
8. Insert one dowel rod on the center of the small circle that you did on the 10in cake,make a little mark on the dowel where the icing start to measured, them  pull out the dowel rod and cut the dowel on the mark that you make, cut around 6 pieces of the same length.
9. Starting on the center where you try the dowel first, put the others five dowel pieces previously cut,  around the a circle, live around 1 inch between the circle mark and the inside.
10. Make triangular mark at the side of the small cake, they need to connect one with other.
11. Get another bag and put inside the base of the coupler and put tip #1and tied with the ring;  fill the bag with white icing and start decorating the small cake with Cornelli Lace technique on top and on the side of the small cake following the triangular mark previously marked.
12. Put the small cake on top the big one where you put the dowel.
13. To the bag with white icing change the tip#1  to tip #4 and pipe small balls around the border of the cakes, top and bottom of the big cake and on the border of the triangles.
14. On the top border of  the big cake pipe some Cornelli Lace technique on top of the ball borders.
15. In a small bowls mix icing and the rest of the color individually, in a bag put tip #18 and inside the bag add three stripe of icing with the color yellow, orange and red, and pipe  3 flowers (stars), this will simulate fall flowers with the three color together, do this around the borders of the cakes, around four inches separate one another.
16. Prepare bag with green icing and tip #67 and pipe two to three leaf where you previously pipe the flowers (stars).
17. To pipe the turkey you will need a bag with brown icing and tip #4, to pipe the shell shape feather; pipe the center of the shell by pressing  and pulling down the icing, it will look like a tear drop up-side down.
18. You will continue pipe the shell shape feather making a semi-circle; on top of the pointing area of the shell you will pipe a tear drop to shape the body.
19. With white icing and tip#2, you will pipe feather tips using zig-zag motion.
20. With tip #2 tuck into top of body and pull up to form the neck, squeeze harder to form a ball for the head.
21. With brown icing and tip #2 pipe curved shell on either side of the body for wings, add two legs, feet.
22. Using white icing, with light pressure and tip #1 pipe dot for eyes.
23. With yellow icing and tip#1 pull out beak and finish with red icing tip#1 the wattle.
24. To finish decorating the cake, put one ring candle holder on the middle of the small cake and the other two at each site of the big cake, and inside each ring put the candles.

Thanksgiving Turkey Cake!

Thanksgiving Day is a day to said thank you for all the good and bad thing that happen in our lives, it is a day to share what we have with families and friends and give to other less fortunate as much as we can. You can share this Thanksgiving Turkey Cake with others, this cake can be the center on your table on Thanksgiving Day; to do this cake I used a snowmen and shell cake pan. It is a fun cake to do, and it’s not difficult to make and decorate it. The shell will be split into two parts and in the middle will be the snowmen, then will be decorated with Buttercream icing in different colors to make it look like a turkey.

Instructions:

1. Bake the cakes.
2. Cut the shell cake in half lengthwise.
3. Position the pieces of cake alongside the snowman cake on the board; the snowman will be lithely on top of the shell pieces.
4. Get one decorating bag, put inside the bag, the coupler base, get the tip #2B, and slip it  into the coupler base and twist the coupler ring over the tip, locking it in place.
5. Get some buttercream icing and add brown color, need to be a lite color.
6. Add that mix inside the bag and start decorating the shell with that color; smooth the icing with a decorating spatula.
7. Get some of the icing in separate bowls  and add individually the color red, yellow and orange.
8. Prepare a bag with a red color, get the decorating tip #18, pipe scalloped outlines of the shell cake. Repeat the same step with the other two color, to make three lines of scallop outline the cake.
9. With orange icing, ice pumpkin area and smooth.
10. With black icing and tip #2B, pipe band on the hat.
11. Using tip #4 string outline around collar and eyes.
12. Pipe-in with white icing using tip #5 the eyes.
13. With tip #4, and black icing pipe eyeballs.
14. Fill-in the collar with white icing using tip#18 stars.
15. With blue icing, and tip #19 stars, fill-in the hat.
16. Using dark brown icing and tip #19 stars  fill-in the head, over pipe eyebrow area and add pull-out stars at forehead.
17. Pipe with tip #12 and yellow icing hat buckle.
18. With tip #4 and black icing pipe eyebrows and string bow.
19. Pipe lines on pumpkin using tip #2 with orange icing.
20. Using tip # 1A with green icing, pipe using heavy pressure, an elongated ball of icing for steam.
21. With green icing and tip #2 pipe vines; change the tip for tip #352 and pipe leaves.
22. Add  beak  with yellow icing and tip #12, with  heavy pressure pipe a ball shape for bottom beak, tapering off the end as you gradually  decrease the pressure.
23. Tuck tip on top and pipe a ball shape, tapering off the end decreasing the pressure.
24. Using red icing with tip #12, using light pressure, pipe a line of icing alongside beak for wattle.
25. With dark brown icing and tip #352 pull-out wing feathers.
